How Wellspring fixes it
Your column names don't have to match
Wellspring recognises the usual exports from Cliniko, Zanda (Power Diary), Acuity and Fresha, and works with any other system that can produce a CSV. You confirm the mapping; you don't rewrite the file.
See it before it's saved
The preview runs the whole import without writing anything, and tells you row by row what would be created, updated, skipped or flagged.
Undo the whole run
Every import is recorded as a batch. If it isn't right, undo it and try again — clients who have since had activity in Wellspring are kept rather than removed.
Three things import: clients, appointments (past and future) and invoices. Treatment notes, uploaded files, signed forms, memberships and gift cards don't come across — you start those fresh in Wellspring. You export the CSV yourself; Wellspring doesn't connect to your old system directly.

Common questions
What happens to duplicates?
Clients are matched on email address, and by name where there's no email — those are flagged so you can check them. Appointments and invoices already brought across are recognised and not doubled up.
Will it overwrite what's already in Wellspring?
No. An import fills in blanks on an existing record; it doesn't replace details you already have.
